Gar Braun
Gar began flying in 1942 when he enlisted in the US Navy. He started at Glenview for basic instruction. He then went to Corpus Christy and flew a N3N which is a Bi-Plane. He flew various planes while in the Navy including , N3N(Yellow Peril), SNV(Vultec Vibrator), SNJ(AT-6-Texan), N3N(On floats), O52u (Kingfisher), S03c(Seagull), SBD 3-4-5-6(Dauntless1,000-1250 HP), SB2C(HellDiver 1800-2000HP), SBW(Canadian), J2F(Duck Utility-950 HP), F6F(Fighter), F4U(Corsair), SnB(Twin Beach).
Gar has a Lebanese privot pilots license # 26. He also has a CAA ( Cival Aeronatics Authorit) license.
He joined EAA445 in 1982 and served as president from 1988-1990.
Gar is 82 years old and currently flys a 172 on floats, a 182, a 150 and a J-3 Cub on floats.
